Description/Abstract The results of a quantitative study are presented for the interrelationship of the field characteristics customarily used with direct and inclined electroacoustic transducers, and their distributed transfer functions.^It is concluded that the use of distributed transfer functions as the normalized metrological characteristics of electroacoustic transducers is preferable.
