Washington, DC -- The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), in partnership with the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and Rutgers University, recently launched a program to promote development and training of electronic commerce professionals. The two universities are jointly sponsoring an electronic commerce masters degree program and a certificate program. The degree will be multi-discipline with technology, business, and policy courses. The certificate program is for students who don't have the time available for the degree.

Each university will provide graduate students opportunities to acquire practical experience with Federal electronic commerce projects. Participating agencies include the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Department of Defense, the Department of the Interior, the National Institute of Science and Technology and GSA.
