First Events from BELLE

				ABSTRACT

The BELLE collaboration recently started taking data at the
KEK-B asymmetric e+e- collider in Tsukuba Japan.  In this 
seminar, the BELLE detector will be described and results 
based on an initial sample of approximately 30,000 hadron 
events obtained at the Upsilon(4S) resonance will be presented.
