20011212, Zhangfan XING For LAS installation on Redhat 7.2, please check file las_on_redhat_7.2.txt in the same directory. I did not try Redhat 7.1. However these rpms should work on it too. 20010521, Zhangfan XING This is my collection of rpms that will make LAS installation complete on a redhat 7.0 linux box. For other Linux systems, please use my Srpms to generate your own rpms. rpms (and srpms) are arranged in directories, the names of which reflect respective origins of package source: ./CPAN: perl modules ./PMEL: ferret, etc. ./powertools-7.0: redhat 7.0 powertools ./redhat7.0-updates: redhat 7.0 updates ./sourceforge: stuff from sourceforge In order to make LAS work, you will need all rpms provided here. I would also suggest you start from a fresh redhat 7.0 install. Personally I like to have everything under the control of rpm. That is why I took time/trouble to make rpms for perl modules. I am not fond of CPAN's native network installation method, because it pollutes my disk space ;-) You may have different opinion. All rpms are compiled using updated libc and other base libraries. That means you will have to update those on your system too. They are provided in ./redhat7.0-updates for you convenience. After installing/updating all rpms, read LAS.txt for how to configure LAS quickly.
