In 2005, 17 SAV grow tanks were distributed among the NOAA offices listed below. Tank supplies were distributed during the bay grass workshop on March 23. Most offices set -up their tanks on March 23 or 24. Plants will grow for approximately 2 months, until the June 14 planting date during NOAA Restoration Day. In 2005, two different species of bay grass were grown: Sago Pondweed (Stuckenia pectinata) and Redhead Grass (Potamogeton perfoliatus).
