This survey, is designed to give the Refuge baseline information on carnivore species on the Refuge.  Camera stations are set up with bait, including beaver lure, catnip, carrion and a visual attractant like a pie plate or feather.  When an animal comes to investigate the bait a motion detector triggers the camera to take a picture.  Snow tracking may also be done along possible wildlife corridors and trails.
