We would like to bring to your attention again the 3rd Catania
Relativistic Ion Studies (CRIS 2000), which will be held in Acicastello
from May 22 through May 26, 2000 and will be devoted to "Phase
Transitions in Strong Interactions: Status and Perspectives".

which has just been updated with more detailed information about the
logistic and scientific aspects of the Conference. In particular,

You can conveniently pre-register and submit an abstract directly from
your Web browser.

CRIS is a recently established series of topical Conferences held every
two years in the Catania area. CRIS '96 was devoted to "Critical
Phenomena and Collective Observables". CRIS '98 was devoted to
"Measuring the Size of Things in the Universe: HBT Interferometry and
Heavy Ion Physics".

The third CRIS Conference will be devoted to the discussion of both the
Liquid-Gas and the QGP-Hadron phase transitions in finite nuclear
matter. These topics will be discussed from both theoretical and
experimental points of view. We will encourage lively and informal
discussions among participants. Care will be taken in setting up the
scientific program that a clear link is drawn with the first CRIS.

The Conference venue is the Grand Hotel Baia Verde, a charming
Mediterranean-style resort complex which is located directly on the
shores of the Ionian Sea and offers a pool, private swimming area and
various amenities.

CRIS 2000 is organized by the Catania Section of the Italian National
Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN) and the University of Catania.
