Feb 10, 2009 USDA Market News PROCESSED EGGS: Weekly Eastern Region Breaking Stock (Tue/Fri) Prices were lower on breaking stock and checks and undergrades when compared to last Friday's prices. Trade sentiment was barely steady to weak. Offerings were light. Floor stocks were fully adequate to ample for normal to less than normal breaking schedules. Demand was fair at best. The Eastern region shell egg breaking stock inventory was down 3%, and the National shell egg breaking stock inventory was unchanged when compared to last week. Prices in cents per dozen, delivered to breakers, 48 lb. minimum net weight per 30 dozen case, eggs from table egg layers. Packaging may vary.
