(May 18, 2006) Washington, D.C. - Congresswoman Lucille Roybal-Allard (CA-34) meets with representatives of the Chinese American Citizens Alliance (CACA) who were in Washington, D.C. as part of a team of eight participating in the Asian Pacific Islander American (APIA) Democratic Summit held this month in honor of APIA Heritage Month. Pictured from left to right: Dr. Munson Kwok of Los Angeles, CACA's National President; the congresswoman; and Ms. Suellen Cheng of Los Angeles, CACA's National Historian. The Chinese American Citizens Alliance is dedicated to the economic and political empowerment of Chinese Americans and to the improvement and general welfare of Chinese communities throughout the country. Located in the congresswoman's district, one of CACA's oldest chapters - founded in 1912 - is located in Los Angeles' Chinatown.
