Public Affairs Officer of the US Embassy Officially Opens Internet Center in Rustavi

Rustavi - On October 8, at 12 p.m., Public Affairs Officer Rowena Cross-Najafi of the US Embassy will officially open the IATP public Internet access site in Rustavi. This will be the 11th center that IREX opens as part of the IATP program in Georgia in the last seven years. These centers provide free Internet access, Web design courses, and trainings in modern technologies throughout the country.

The Internet Access and Training Program (IATP) is a program of the Bureau of Educational & Cultural Affairs (ECA) of the US Department of State and is administered by the International Research & Exchanges Board (IREX). IATP is an innovative program that utilizes the Internet to encourage information sharing, network building, and collaboration among alumni of ECA exchange programs and general public in 11 countries of the Newly Independent States (NIS).
