The Moon
Lunar Orbiter 5 view of Aristarchus crater on the Moon. The crater is approximately 40 km in diameter, and 3.6 km in depth from rim to floor. Note the hummocky ejecta blanket surrounding the crater and the concentric and radial valleys along the crater walls, resulting from mass wasting. North is up. (Lunar Orbiter 5, frame M-197)
