THE AUTHORS HAVE SUPPLEMENTED THEIR STUDY OF ORIGINAL SOURCES WITH INTERVIEWS WITH PEOPLE WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE CASES AS DEFENDANTS, WITNESSES, AND LAWYERS.
