The EducationUSA center hosted a predeparture orientation workshop for ADNOC scholarship undergraduate student recipients on Monday July 11, 2005 The objective of the workshop was to prepare students for success as students at U.S. universities and to help them understand societal and cultural differences. The Public Affairs Officer welcomed the participants and their parents, advisors and the head of the scholarship department in ADNOC. The Educational Adviser of the EducationUSA center gave the workshop sessions. The chief of Consular Affairs explained visa and immigration procedures and three American university students working as interns in the Embassy spoke about adjustment to student life.
