NOTE:  ONLY APPOINTMENT ELIGIBLE FAMILY MEMBERS AS DEFINED BELOW OF U.S. GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES ASSIGNED TO THE MISSION UNDER CHIEF OF MISSION AUTHORITY ARE ELIGIBLE FOR CONSIDERATION.  AN AEFM DOES NOT HAVE TO BE RESIDING IN COUNTRY TO BE CONSIDERED.  THEY WOULD BE NORMALLY CONSIDERED WITHIN ONE MONTH TIME FRAME OF ENROUTE TO POST AND PHONE INTERVIEW IS AN OPTION FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NOT ARRIVED AT POST YET.

 

The US Embassy Jakarta is seeking an individual for employment of Escort for the US Embassy Jakarta’s General Services Office (GSO).

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION:

Position primarily supports GSO/Facilities Maintenance Unit (FMU) and Property and Warehouse Unit (PAW).

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

NOTE: All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item.

 

1.     Completion of secondary school is required.

 

2.     6 to 12 months of general work experience is required

 

3.     SEO Briefing, RSO Briefing, on-the-job training is required.

 

4.     Level 4 (fluency) in Speaking/Reading/Writing English is required.

 

5.     Basic understanding of security and proper escorting procedures is required.

 

6.     Attention to detail.  Must be able to follow established guidelines and procedures.

 

 

ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA

 

1.     Management will consider nepotism/conflict of interest, budget, and residency status in determining successful candidacy.

2.     Current employees serving a probationary period are not eligible to apply.

3.     Currently employed US Citizen EFMs who hold a Family Member Appointment (FMA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment.

4.     Currently employed NORs hired under a Personal Services Agreement (PSA) are ineligible to apply for advertised positions within the first 90 calendar days of their employment unless currently hired into a position with a When Actually Employed (WAE) work schedule.

5.     The candidate must be able to obtain and retain a TS security clearance.
