Feeder Cattle Auction

Receipts: 2219        Last week 1759       Last year 297

   Compared to last Tuesday, feeder steers 500-700 lbs 1.00-2.00 higher, other
weights steady. Feeder heifers steady. Slaughter cows steady. Supply heavy. Near
4 percent cows and 72 percent of the feeders were over 600 lbs. Feeder supply 
approximately 56 percent steers and bulls and 44 percent heifers. Lots of nice
cattle came to town this week highlighted by two loads of good black heifers 
weighing 670 lbs and a couple of lots of 800 lb steers good enough to send 
anywhere. 

   Feeder steers: Medium and large 1  450-500 lbs 114.00-118.00; 500-600 lbs
98.75-114.75; 600-700 lbs 90.50-102.00; 700-800 lbs 87.00-92.50; 800-900 lbs
83.00-88.75, 165 head fleshy 874 lbs 84.60. Medium and large 1-2  350-400 lbs
113.00-113.50; 400-500 lbs 109.00-120.00; 500-600 lbs 98.00-106.00, small 
package fleshy 591 lbs 94.00; 600-700 lbs 89.50-96.75; 700-720 lbs 89.00-90.50;
