Space Settlement Design Contest 2007 Results


Statistics

This year we received 109 submissions from 601 students sponsored by 33 teachers. Entries came from Canada, India, Iran, Romania, Slovenia, Uruguay, Venezuela, Turkey and 11 states: California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas and Utah.

Winners

Grand Prize

The Grand Prize winning submissions for 2007 are,

The large group that submitted the EVA Project are students of Instructor Gaviraghi, Instructor Giminez and Instructor Ramos of the Liceo 4 de Maldonado School in Maldonado, Uruguay. [2-minute interview in Spanish].
Pinta was created by the students of of Instructor Sefika Secilir of the Robert College School in Istanbul, Turkey.
Maga Cristinel of Ovidius High School in Constantza, Romania is the instructor of the students that submitted the project APIS.

Congratulations to all of this years participants for such outstanding research projects.

Note: for the rest of the prizes there were individual, team (consisting of 2-6 students) and large group awards for two groups: 6-9th grade and 10-12th grade. Team names are listed by submission.
