Notes:
*Classification of PAHs as probable or possible human carcinogens or noncarcinogens as used for the Remedial Investigation/Alternatives Report. Some PAHs classified as noncarcinogens in the RI report are classified as carcinogenic by EPA and NTP.
***These compounds coelute, are structural isomers (benzo[b]fluoranthene with benzo[k]fluoranthene and chrysene with triphenylene) and, therefore, cannot be individually quantified. In the RI, benzo[k]fluoranthene as nPAH, and chrysene as cPAH; these are different classifications than used by MDH.

APPENDIX C: SUMMARY OF THE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD FOR THE JOSLYN MANUFACTURING AND SUPPLY COMPANY SITE PUBLIC HEALTH ASSESSMENT
The Minnesota Department of Health obtained mailing lists of concerned citizens and state and local government officials from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency Office of Public Information. A copy of the draft Public Health Assessment for the Joslyn Manufacturing and Supply Company Site was mailed to interested parties. A letter of announcement was also sent to interested parties to allow them to request a copy of the draft Public Health Assessment for review and comment. The MDH also issued a press release to local news agencies that summarized the major findings of the draft assessment and provided information on how copies could be obtained from MDH.
No comments to the document were received during the public comment period.
