convenes in Washington, D.C. to discuss issues relevant to creating the conditions
for more robust bilateral high-technology commerce.
- Discusses market access, tariff and nontariff barriers,
and export controls.
•The HTCG meeting is preceded by a public-private forum on “Financing Innovation,” which
includes breakout discussions on the information technology, biotechnology/life sciences,
defense technology,
and nanotechnology.
•November 2003: HTCG
convenes in New Delhi to build on the progress made in Washington,
D.C.
–Parties continue discussions on market access, tariff and nontariff barriers, and export
controls.
–A public-private forum, similar to the July forum in
Washington D.C. is held in Bangalore on November 19 to continue discussions on U.S.-India trade and
investment.
