99/11/03 DEFECT IN PROGRAM gpscom
SYMPTOM: Snxdif comparisons between Pages and Gpscom Sinex files
showed differences at the level of .1 cm which while
fairly small are at the same time troublingly large. Since
the runs had been set up to be identical one would hope
for essentially zero differences.
PROBLEM: The equation for evaluating the weight in the case of
individual site constraints had been corrected in the Pages
code but had not yet been chanced in Gpscom. This change is
to correctly account for the contribution due to the
crustal velocity shift of the site coordinates.
CORRECTION: The needed correction was to change from a simple sum of
variance componednents to a square root of sum of squares.
