Subject: Re: Problems with GOES LRIT services. Dave, We are in the midst of moving equipment to the new NSOF building and have tried to stage equipment to minimize the impact to LRIT users, but invariably, we have not been able to avoid disruption in services. Last night, the NSOF building experienced a major power outage that impacted the LRIT system for several hours. This would probably coincide with the period in which you were seeing no images. The system is back up, though we appear to have a problem with DCS data, which is being worked on as we speak. An administrative message is being sent through the LRIT system to let users know that a major outage was experienced at NSOF that impacted the distribution of LRIT products.
