David R. DeWalle

Biographical Information David R. DeWalle, professor of forest hydrology with the School of Forest Resources and Director of the Pennsylvania Water Resources Research Center at Penn State. He received his bachelor’s degree in forest management in 1964 and master’s degree in forest hydrology in 1966 from the University of Missouri, and doctorate in watershed management from Colorado State University in 1969. Dr. DeWalle teaches courses in watershed management, snow hydrology, and forest microclimatology. His current research is focused on impacts of atmospheric deposition, climate change and land-use change on hydrology and health of watershed ecosystems. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Universities Council on Water Resources and as 2006 President of the American Water Resources Association. Dr. DeWalle also serves as advisor to the AWRA Penn State Student Chapter and on the executive committee of the AWRA Pennsylvanvia Section.
