Description: This training is sponsored by HUD’s Office of Native American Programs. The three day course is designed to focus on the requirements of successful purchasing: careful planning, and an extensive understanding of the ramification of decisions made at the start of the procurement process. Training topics, which include specific regional issues, range from
the basics of purchasing, to the unique factors in tribal housing purchasing, to the practical how-tos of procurement planning and policy development. The critical lessons of avoiding sanctions, penalties, and indictable offenses will also be discussed.
