Subject: WATER OUALITY--Spurious Carbon Isotope Data


The attached memorandum from Warren Wood of the National 

Research Program calls attention to the possible 

contamination effects of various grouts and well-sealing 

cements.  All who interpret water-quality data should be

aware of these possible effects on liquid and gas phases.
