Internships in my Office
Each summer Congressman Bonner sponsors a Congressional Intern Program for students from South Alabama. If you are from Baldwin, Clarke, Escambia, Mobile, Monroe, or Washington County and have completed one semester of college, you are eligible for a Congressional Internship!
As an intern you will work in Congressman Bonner's Washington office. Duties will vary widely from day to day mundane office work (making copies, folding letters, running errands) to attending committee meetings and researching and responding to legislative inquiries. You will also have the opportunity to tour one of the most fascinating, interesting and powerful cities in the world. The hands-on experience you will receive as an intern will prove valuable in the work force. |

The intern program has become very popular over the years, and we are now accepting applications for next summer. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2006.
Each intern receives approximately $850 for the session. Please note that students participating through their college or university intern program or those receiving college credit may not receive a stipend.
