One of the last sod barns in use in Walsh County, built in late 1880s

SUMMARY
Six head of cattle (oxen?) in a pasture in front of a sod-roofed building. There appears to be an open entry area, and part of wall is supported by wood. Along side is a wire fence and a gate.

NOTES
Title taken from label with hand-colored print.

"Last sod house in Walsh County (Weberg-Dubois). Late 1800s. Andrew Iverson - 4 oxen. Picture belongs to George Myra, 345 5th St. West, Grafton, N.D. (later moved to Fargo, N.D.)"--Back of hand-colored print.
