TWO NEW YORK DRUG DEALERS IN LEWISTOWN SENTENCED TO 90 MONTHS AND 120 MONTHS IN FEDERAL PRISON

Martin C. Carlson, United States Attorney for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, announced today that a second individual involved in trafficking crack cocaine into the Lewistown area has been sentenced.

Eric Allah, a/k/a “G,” age 24, was sentenced yesterday by United States District Court Judge Christopher C. Conner to serve a 90-month term of imprisonment. Judge Conner further ordered that Allah serve a three-year term of supervised release and pay a $1,100 fine. Previously, on October 22, 2008, co-defendant Bobbi L. Banks was sentenced to 120 months’ imprisonment.

According to U.S. Attorney Carlson, Allah and Banks relocated from New York to Lewistown and distributed substantial quantities of crack cocaine and other drugs in the Lewistown area beginning in June 2006. The pair saw an opportunity to make money by coming to Lewistown from New York to pollute the area with illegal drugs. In November 2007, the two were indicted on conspiracy and distribution and possession with intent to distribute 50 grams and more of crack cocaine charges. Both Allah and Banks pleaded guilty and have been sentenced. A third defendant, alleged to have been used as a runner, is awaiting trial.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the Mifflin County Regional Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daryl F. Bloom.
