Hello,

A new major release of DAKOTA (Version 4.1) has been posted to the 
download page.


New capabilities
----------------
Selected highlights include:

New UQ methods:
   > Wiener-Askey generalized polynomial chaos expansions
   > efficient global reliability analysis (EGRA)
   > incremental Latin hypercube and incremental Monte Carlo sampling
   > (multimodal/adaptive) importance sampling
New optimization methods/strategies
   > NCSU implementation of DIRECT (by Joerg Gablonsky)
   > efficient global optimization (EGO)
   > dynamic optimizer plug-ins (supporting SNOPT & NPSOL)
   > global surrogate based optimization
   > polynomial chaos-based design optimization
Extensions to optimization methods/strategies
   > multi-point hybrid optimization
   > surrogate based optimization with multipoint approximations, recast 
subproblem formulations, and constraint relaxation
New nonlinear least squares
   > support for user-supplied calibration data
New design of computer experiments
   > interface to PSUADE MOAT from LLNL
Framework extensions
   > input files no longer require the use of "\" for line continuations
   > mixed surrogate/truth models
   > extensions to input/output scaling
   > support for failure detection/mitigation using NaN/Inf
   > new direct interface to Python and refined direct interface to Matlab
