Commissioner Recognizes Employees in Glynco, Ga.

(04/22/2008)
Commissioner W. Ralph Basham Friday kicked off the Mission Appreciation Campaign All Hands Ceremonies in Glynco, Ga. The purpose of this campaign is to acknowledge the employee talent, expertise, and dedication brought to CBP every day.

The Commissioner showed his appreciation of the employees of CBP by saying, "I don't know if I've ever seen a time in my 38 years of service, an agency as dedicated to the mission as CBP employees." Employees from the CBP Field Operations Academy, Port of Brunswick, Area Ports of Jacksonville and Savannah, Savannah Labs, and Jacksonville Air and P-3 Branches were on hand for the event.

The ceremony concluded with service awards for CBP Officer Mark Wiltsey and CBP Agriculture Specialist Phillip Suhr who both celebrated 30 years of service. The Commissioner presented a special plaque to CBP Officer Albert Hose for 62 years of service to the government.
