INTERAGENCY COUNCIL ON BIOMEDICAL IMAGING IN ONCOLOGY Next Due Date for
Requests - Monday, October 13 (for November 24 meeting) The Interagency
Council on Biomedical Imaging in Oncology brings together technology developers
and representatives from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Food and Drug
Administration (FDA), and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) to expedite
the process of bringing new products to market. The Council provides advice from
a multi-agency perspective on the spectrum of scientific, regulatory, and
reimbursement issues related to developing your imaging device or technology.

DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH RESOLUTION PROBES FOR CELLULAR IMAGING (NIGMS, NIBIB, NHGRI)
(RFA-GM-03-013) The National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS),
the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB), and the
National Human Gnome Research Institute (NHGRI) invite applications for P20
Exploratory Center Grants to support multi-investigator teams to develop new
technologies to enable higher sensitivity biological imaging in living cells.
Although the focus of the RFA is on the development of probes for live cell
imaging, the NIBIB will accept applications that emphasize pre-clinical
development of imaging agents for the detection, diagnosis, or measurement of
treatment efficacy for different disease processes. URL: http://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/rfa-files/RFA-GM-03-013.htm

_______________________ The
Cancer Imaging Program at NCI has created this e-mail distribution list to
notify interested people about funding opportunities and other issues related to
imaging research. Its primary purpose is to call your attention to important,
relevant information on NIH Web pages, or in the NIH Guide. Occasionally it may
be used to clarify areas of confusion, or disseminate answers to frequently
asked questions.
If you wish to remain on the list, no action is
necessary. If you wish to be added to the list (or removed from it), please
contact Ms. Johnnie Smith by return e-mail (js95x@nih.gov).
