WHAT'S NEW AT TIE 2004 (TRACKS!!!!)?
Feedback from attendees at the 2003 conference indicated that participants
wanted more focus to their learning opportunities at TIE. To meet this
request the TIE Board decided to implement TRACKS during the MORNING
SESSIONS at the 2004 TIE Conference.

WHAT DO TRACKS MEAN TO THE CONFERENCE?
During the morning sessions Technologists, Administrators, Teachers and
Library Media Specialists can focus their conference experience on their
professional discipline or a topic of their choice. While afternoon
sessions will NOT include TRACKS allowing attendees to select a session
from a broad array of offerings covering; software tools, hardware,
instructional techniques, etc. MORNING TRACK sessions will be organized
together in a specific area of the Copper Mountain Conference site, so
that attendees and presenters with a common interest can join together and
discuss their ideas. Tracks at TIE 2004 include:
- Information Literacy
- Administration-Leadership
- Technical Leadership and Support
- Digital Media - Emerging Technologies
- Technology Integration - Elementary
- Technology Integration - Secondary

Additional detail on each TRACK can be found at:
http://www.tie-online.org/2004/track.htm

Proposals submitted for 3 hour MORNING sessions MUST fit into ONE of the
TRACKS. Proposals submitted for 2 hour AFTERNOON sessions do NOT have to
fit into a TRACK.

You MUST submit a separate proposal if you want your presentation to be
considered for each morning/afternoon session that you would like to have
considered.

HOW CAN YOU BENEFIT FROM PRESENTING?
Just as you may have benefited from your colleagues presentations at
previous TIE Conferences, you can enrich others by giving a presentation
at the conference. Presenting offers perks for you, too:

- Receive a FREE 4-day Conference Registration
- Gain recognition
- Spotlight your personal, classroom, school, district or BOCES
achievements
