From david.price at eurostep.com Fri Nov 18 08:37:34 2005 From: david.price at eurostep.com (David Price) Date: Fri Nov 18 08:37:44 2005 Subject: [step-os] EXPRESS/Ruby anyone? Message-ID: <000401c5ec45$3ba0a710$2101a8c0@ESUKPC20> All, I've started an EXPRESS to Ruby mapping starting with Part 28 Edition 2 XML support for now. If you're interested in helping or testing in this area, please let me know. I've published this work at http://www.exff.org/express_ruby for the time being. It is not clear to me that this is anything that should necessarily be standardized. It is intended for demonstrators and prototypes, not production use. If it did make sense, I have no particular objections though. Big Caveat : I'm a complete Ruby novice and the work so far is just to prove the concept - so don't be *too* critical. I've simply tried to do enough to show what's possible. For example, I've only implemented limited XML write capabilites.
