Barry Lee's research interests include first-order system least-squares methods for general elliptic partial differential equation, geometric multigrid methods, numerical methods for neutron-photon transport equations, and computational electromagnetics. Currently, he is working on first-order system least-squares methods for the Boltzmann transport equation in the ARDRA project, and in the structured/semi-structured linear system project in HYPRE.

Barry Lee obtained his M.Sc. in mathematics from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, Canada. His dissertation was on multilevel methods for ill-posed equations. He then obtain a Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. His dissertation was on first-order system least-squares methods for electromagnetics.

Barry works on these projects: ardra and hypre.
