Oct./Nov.	Pocatello	Blind Springs	3700		Burn is located in Mink Creek Drainage, approximately 7 miles south of Pocatello. 1000 acres of the burn were completed this past spring. Another 1000 acres were prepared for ignition by "black-lining" the perimeter on 10/17, which involved burning 100 acres of the next 1000 that are planned for completion on 10/20. An additional 40 acres were completed on 10/28, and 400 acres on 10/29. The burn is designed to break up the fuel continuity of the mountain brush, reduce the canopy cover of the juniper by 50%, reduce conifer encroachment in aspen stands, and create mosaic openings over the project area.
Oct./Nov.	Driggs	Hill	750		Teton Basin Ranger District plans to burn Darby Unit of the Hill prescribed burn in the Hill/Darby Creek area of the Teton Mountain Range. Ignition is expected to take one day and may begin as soon as 10/28 at 11:00 a.m., pending weather conditions and approval from the State for smoke management. Hill Rx is approximately 1,700-acres, 750 of which are Darby unit planned for ignition on 10/28. Smoke will be visible from Highway 33 between Driggs and Victor Idaho but may also be visible from the Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park areas as well.
Oct.	Montpelier	Emigration	170		Project area is approximately 10 miles west of Montpelier. To date firefighters have completed 60 acres in this burn unit.
10/29	Grace	Wick	.10	lightning	Fire is located approximately 3 miles west of Grace, Idaho. One EIIFC heavy engine had it contained by 9:00 p.m. on 10/29 and are working to have it controlled sometime on 10/30.
9/29	MT/ID border	Timber WFU	1731	lightning	Fire ignited just south of the Montana/Idaho border, approximately 5 miles northwest of Signal Mountain. Lightning last registered in that area on 9/20. Fire officials are managing this fire to burn naturally for resource benefit and ecosystem enhancement. SEE PHOTOS.
7/14	Island Park	Willow WFU MAPS & PHOTOS	5664	lightning	Fire is two miles south of the Continental Divide and 12.5 miles southwest of Henrys Lake. To protect human life and provide for public safety associated with this fire area, THE FOLLOWING CLOSURE IS IN PLACE UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE: National Forest System lands located between the Willow Creek drainage, Keg Springs FS Road #042 and south of the Idaho/Montana State Line. National Forest System roads closed entirely or partially include Schneider Creek FS Road #034, Willow Creek FS Road #046 and Keg Springs FS Road #042. The Continental Divide Trail is open. Due to morning inversions when active burning does occur, smoke will settle into both Idaho and Montana. However, the inversions lift and clear out by mid morning. This fire is being managed for resource benefit and ecosystem enhancement by reducing risk of large fires, regenerating Whitebark Pine and Aspen and restoring habitat for wildlife species such as elk, bear and deer. Firefighters are working full-time on the Willow WFU event, maintaining top priorities of public and firefighter safety, keeping the fire west of Willow Creek and Willow Creek Road and managing the event as a natural disturbance mechanism in a fire-dependant ecosystem.
10/27	Ririe	River	.10	abandoned campfire	Fire located 4 miles north of Ririe, by Twin Bridges. EIIFC resources had it contained by 8:30 p.m. on 10/27 and controlled by 12:30 p.m. on 10/28.
10/27	Montpelier	Bolder	.25	abandoned campfire	Fire located 5 miles east of Montpelier. EIIFC resources had it contained and controlled by 4:30 p.m. on 10/27.
9/21	Montpelier	Snowdrift WFU	0.1	lightning	Fire ignited approximately 13 miles northeast of Montpelier. Fire officials are managing this fire to burn naturally for resource benefit and ecosystem enhancement.
7/21	Swan Valley	Flag Knoll WFU INFO POSTER	524	lightning	Fire is 14 miles southwest of Swan Valley. Fire officials continue to allow the Flag Knoll WFU event to play its natural role on the landscape for resource benefits, which include reducing risk of large fires, enhancing Aspen regeneration and benefiting habitat for wildlife species such as mule deer and elk. The top priorities are public and firefighter safety and keeping the fire east of Skyline Ridge Road. No trail or road closures are in place at this time. SEE PHOTOS

10/14	Fort Hall	Thirty Day Creek	0.1	hunter fire	Fire is about 9 miles east of Chubbuck. Firefighters estimate containment for 3 p.m. and control for 5 p.m. on 10/14.
10/3	Fort Hall	Ft. Hall Narrows	1	lightning	Fire is approximately 15 miles northeast of Chubbuck.
10/1	Ashton	Mesa	1	not determined	Fire is approximately 11 miles northwest of Ashton. One EIIFC light engine is suppressing this fire. Firefighters reached containment at 8:00 p.m. on 10/2 and control on 10/3.
10/1	Grays Lake	Grays Creek	76.2	not determined	Fire is approximately 5 miles west of Flag Knoll WFU event. EIIFC resources include 3 heavy engines, a dozer, a water tender, 2 20-person handcrews and smokejumpers. Firefighters reached containment at 6:00 p.m. on 10/2 and control on 10/3. Acreage changed due to mapping.
Sept. and Oct.	Island Park	Raynolds Pass	1180		Project area is broken into 3 units-Raynolds (445-acres), Upper Staley (270-acres) and Staley (465-acres). Actual ignition will be dependent on meeting strict parameters for weather, fuel and fire behavior conditions. Both hand and aerial (helicopter) ignition may be utilized. Forest users and residents of Island Park, specifically the Henry’s Lake area, may experience temporary smoky conditions in the vicinity of the burn. No trail or road closures are expected. Interagency fire managers will attempt to minimize any adverse impacts as the burn proceeds. All units are located in Fremont County, Idaho. To date firefighters have completed 760 acres of this burn.
9/29	Kelly Canyon	South Big Holes	542		Firefighters have 542 of the total 1035 acres remaining from 2007 when they initially began to treat this prescribed burn unit.
9/24	Camas Wildlife Refuge	Grouse Field	67		Firefighters completed 30 acres of this burn on 9/23.
9/15	Montpelier	Station Creek	637		Project area is approximately 20 miles southwest of Montpelier and 7 miles west of St. Charles Rx Burn. To date firefighters have completed 400 acres of this burn.
Sept.	Montpelier	St. Charles	3200		This burn is located approximately 20 miles southwest of Montpelier and west of the north end of Bear Lake. To date firefighters have completed 605 acres of this burn.
Sept.	Swan Valley	Fall Creek	2780		This burn is located approximately 13 miles southwest of Swan Valley. To date firefighters have completed 540 acres of this burn.
Sept. and Oct.	Kilgore	Antelope Valley MAP	1300		Located 5 miles east of Kilgore, Idaho, this burn is a follow-up to last year’s West 22 Rx burn, of which only about half of the original 2,000 acres was actually treated with fire. This fall firefighters hope to burn the remaining 1,000 acres to finalize the project, which is located on BLM, Endowment land, US Sheep Experiment Station and private lands. Sept. and Oct.	Rockford	Rock Corral MAP	4000		Located 15 miles west of Rockford, Idaho, this burn is planned for cheatgrass control and sagebrush restoration. Firefighters COMPLETED ALL 4000 acres of this burn on 9/26. SEE PHOTOS
10/1	Pebble Creek Ski Area	Portneuf	454	not determined	Fire ignited around 3 p.m. and EIIFC responded with 3 light engines, 2 heavy engines, a dozer and a helicopter. Acreage increase is more accurate due to recent mapping. Firefighters reached containment at 6:00 p.m. on 10/2 and had the fire controlled by noon on 10/3.

9/19	Rockland	Trail Canyon	407	escaped ag burn	Fire started on private property as ag burn and escaped the private citizen's burn plan. Resources were used to contain the fire at 5:00 p.m. on 9/19.

9/12	Idaho Falls	Morgan	428	escaped ag burn	Fire started was started on private property and burned onto public land about 20 miles southwest of Idaho Falls. EIIFC resources contained the escaped burn at 10:42 a.m. on 9/13 and controlled by 3:40 p.m. on 9/15.
9/10	Palisades	Sheep	0.1	under investigation	EIIFC resources, including 2 fire investigators, responded to this fire that is 3 miles north off the tip of Palisades Reservoir. It was contained at 9:25 a.m. and controlled by 11:40 a.m. on 9/11.
9/10	Palisades	Van Point	0.1	human	Right at the tip of Palisades Reservoir, EIIFC resources contained this fire by 2:30 p.m. on 9/10.
9/10	Palisades	IA #1	4-5 trees	not determined	EIIFC has responded with one light engine and a few firefighters to this fire at the north end of Palisades Reservoir.

9/4	Fort Hall Indian Reservation	Fort Hall Assist #'s 3-12	7.5	train	Around 4 p.m. on 9/4 several small fires were reported to be coming from a 3-mile stretch of the railroad that runs through Fort Hall Indian Reservation. A member of the public observed that Initially " . . . this fire was contained by Ron Bowman and his crew from Jack B. Parsons from Pocatello to start with. They were on the spot with a water truck and loader and saved a small fire from becoming out of control, let alone saving a huge straw stack with the loader." EIIFC resources assisted to contain and control the 9 small fires by 6:00 p.m. on 9/4.
8/31	Pocatello	Blackrock	4.6	lightning	This fire started at 5,666' elevation, 4 miles east of Pocatello and was quickly extinguished (contained and controlled) by 7:30 p.m. on 8/31.
8/30	Soda Springs	Caribou Assist #1	632	human	This fire started approximately 15 miles northwest of Soda Springs. EIIFC resources assisted in containing the blaze, which was reached by 5:00 p.m. on 8/30. Control of this fire has not yet been estimated.
8/29	Fort Hall	Fort Hall Assist #2	40	not determined	This fire burned 2 miles southwest of Blackfoot. EIIFC resources assisted in the containment and control which were both attained by 5:00 p.m. on 8/29.
8/26	Ririe	Meadow Creek	987	under investigation	The fire is burning on mostly private land east of Ririe Reservoir about 5 miles. Five engines, air tanker, air attack, dozer and water tender along with county engines are on scene. No structures are threatened but are in the area. The fire acreage has changed due to GPS mapping of the perimeter. Containment was reached by 6:15 p.m. on 8/27 and controlled at 3:00 p.m. on 8/28.
8/23	Island Park	Antelope Flats	3	lightning	This fire near Bishop Mountain, approximately 15 miles west and south of Island Park, was contained at 9:00 a.m. on 8/25 and controlled at 9:15 a.m. on 8/27. EIIFC resources include 2 heavy engines, 1 light engine, and a helicopter.
8/18	Pocatello	South 5th Assist	5	human	Fire started along I-15, near the Pocatello S. 5th Exit. Estimated containment for 1:30 p.m. on 8/18 and estimated control for 3:30 p.m. on 8/18.
8/17	Fort Hall	Fort Hall Assist #1	1	not determined	This fire started around 6:00 p.m. and was quickly extinguished by EIIFC resources.
8/10	Fort Hall	Cove Springs	850	lightning	This fire is approximately 16 miles east of Blackfoot. Containment was reached by 8:00 p.m. on 8/12 and estimated control for 6:00 p.m. on 8/18. This fire will remain in patrol status as occasional interior smoke and dust devils will be visible for an extended period of time.
8/10	Driggs	Two Logger	0.1	campfire	This fire, approximately 12 miles west of Driggs, was contained, controlled and called out by 4:30 p.m. on 8/10.
8/7	Pocatello	Nordic	0.1	lightning	This fire was contained and controlled by 11:15 p.m. on 8/7. It was located about 2 miles NW of Scout Mountain, which is approximately 12 miles south of Pocatello.
8/7	Holbrook	South Carter	0.25	lightning	This fire ignited about 2 miles east of the Grandine Wildfire. EIIFC resources had it contained and controlled by 3:00 p.m. on 8/8.
8/7	Holbrook	Grandine	1.5	lightning	This fire ignited about 7 miles south of Holbrook. 3 EIIFC heavy engines are working the fire area. This fire was controlled by 1:00 a.m. on 8/8.
8/4	Idaho Falls	Dry Hollow	0.1	trailer	This fire was reported at 7:30 p.m., 12 miles east of Idaho Falls. When EIIFC overhead responded, the small burned area was already extinguished. Contained and controlled on 8/4. EIIFC fire investigators worked the fire area.
8/3	American Falls	Coldwater	4	human	This fire was reported at 1:30 p.m. It is burning on private property near the Coldwater Rest Area along I-86, approximately 5 miles SW of Massacre Rocks State Park. Power County responded and asked for assistance from EIIFC resources, including one light engine, two heavy engines, air attack, overhead personnel and a wildfire investigator.
8/3	Idaho Falls	Milepost 301	20	human	This fire was reported at 3:00 a.m. It burned on Department of Defense property, along Highway 20, approximately 10 miles west of Idaho Falls. Two EIIFC heavy engines contained this fire by 8:00 a.m. on 8/3 and controlled at 4:30 p.m. on 8/3.
8/2	Chubbuck	Res Line	26.7	human	This fire was reported at 6:30 p.m. It burned on Fort Hall Reservation land, approximately 6 miles NE of Chubbuck. Two EIIFC heavy engines had the fire contained at 8:00 a.m. on 8/3 and controlled at 1:00 p.m. on 8/3.
7/30	Idaho Falls	Blackhawk	1500	under investigation	Located In the foothills of Idaho Falls near Blackhawk Estates. Containment was reached by 7:00 p.m. on 7/30. EIIFC Investigators are assisting Bonneville County Sheriff's Department with the cause determination of this fire.
7/27	Malad	Mile Marker 11	3.8	human	ISP reported this fire, approximately 2 miles south of Malad. EIIFC wildland fire engines responded. This fire was contained and controlled on 7/27.
7/26	Arbon Valley	Neibaur	7,923	human	Fire started on private land, approximately 7 miles east of American Falls. It is threatening Eagle Rock Creek. EIIFC resources include 8 heavy engines, 2 air tankers, one dozer and several overhead personnel. This fire was contained on 7/27 at 6:00 p.m. and controlled by 6:00 p.m. on 7/28.
7/25	Pocatello	West Clark	4.1	human	Located on private land at West Clark Road in Pocatello. Burned grass and brush. Gateway Interagency Fire Front was activated. Contained and controlled by 8:00 p.m. on 7/25.
7/25	Arbon Valley	14 Mile	20	under investigation	EIIFC was not notified of this fire until 7/25, located in Arbon Valley, 12 miles southwest of Pocatello. Discovered on 7/24 and suppressed by Fort Hall FD. Fire was contained and controlled on 7/24.
7/24	Arbon Valley	Michaud Creek	15	human	Reported by the Air Tanker Base on 7/24. Fire is burning in agriculture land on private property within Fort Hall jurisdiction, 5 miles west of Chubbuck, along I-86. Landowner received burn to ankle and was transported to hospital. Fire was contained and controlled by 7:05 p.m. on 7/24.
7/20	Fort Hall	Sands	151	lightning	Burned in brush and grass on Fort Hall land, which is protected by Idaho Falls District BLM. Fire contained 7/20 at 12:30 p.m. and controlled by 6:30 p.m.
7/20	Pocatello	Bonneville Peak	0.1	lightning	14 miles southeast of Pocatello. A single tree burned. An EIIFC helicopter with two rappellers initialed-attacked this incident. Contained 7/20 at 9:30 p.m. and controlled 7/21 at 8:00 a.m.
7/19	Pocatello	Edison Bannock #2	5	cigarette	EIIFC resources assisted Bannock County in containing this fire on 7/19 by 6:00 p.m.
7/15	Firth	Snake	22.2	campfire	EIIFC engines and fire overhead personnel are working to suppress this fire that burns on an island of the Snake River, approximately 4 miles southwest of Firth. Two EIIFC investigators discovered that somebody left a campfire burning. The fire was contained on 7/17 at 12:00 pm.
7/14	Island Park	Rock	0.1	human	This fire is just outside of Island Park--about 1-2 miles northwest of town. One EIIFC engine controlled this fire by 6:30 p.m. on 7/14, shortly after arriving on scene.

7/8	Howe	Howe Peak	1	under investigation	EIIFC resources are fighting this small fire burning 5 miles south of Howe, just north of Mile Marker 9 Fire. Contained and controlled by 2:30 p.m. on 7/8.
7/8	Arco	Mile Marker 9	1.5	under investigation	EIIFC and INL suppression resources contained and controlled this fire (approximately 13 miles east of Arco) by 2:30 p.m. on 7/8.
7/7	Mud Lake	North Lake	34	under investigation	At 3:30 p.m. EIIFC dispatched 2 heavy engines, 2 light engines, 2 SEATs, 1 hand crew and 2 fire investigators to start suppression on a 15 acre fire north of Mud Lake and approximately 10 miles NW of Sage Junction. Firefighters contained and controlled by 10:30 p.m. on 7/7.
7/5	Dubois	Ant Hill	1	human	Local fire department and 2 EIIFC engines responded to an ant hill being lit on fire approximately 10 miles NW of Dubois, Idaho. The fire was contained and controlled at 10:40 a.m. on 4/5.
7/4	Arco	Works #1 - #10	0.1-0.5	human	One EIIFC wildland fire engine suppressed ten different fires near Arco. Originally the fire was said to be a single ignition, but has since been determined that it was a total of 10 fires, ranging from 0.1-0.5 acres in size. Each one of the ten fires was contained and controlled by 10:45 a.m. on 4/5.
7/4	Arco	Arco Dump	0.25	human	Fire was located by local fire department and one EIIFC engine at the Arco Dump. Firefighters contained and controlled this fire by 9:30 a.m. on 4/5.
7/4	Lava	Lava #1-#3	0.1	human	Three small fires near Lava were suppressed by East Idaho Interagency firefighters and equipment. They started on 7/4 and each one was contained and controlled by the early morning hours of 7/5.
7/4	Pocatello	Bannock Assist #1	2	human	Fire burned near the foothills of Pocatello, on Center Street. Local fire departments, along with EIIFC firefighters and equipment responded to and suppressed this fire. It was contained and controlled on 7/4.
7/3	Swan Valley	Palisades Dam	0.1	escaped campfire	This 0.1 acre fire burned public land at Palisades Campground when a campfire escaped its fire ring. Local fire department personnel and equipment knocked it down and had it contained and controlled on 7/4.
7/2	Dubois	Buckboard	0.1	lightning	This fire, approximately 30 miles west and north of Dubois, Idaho, was reported at 4:30 p.m. as a single tree, struck by lightning. It was on a ridge near Buckboard Gulch, and was contained and controlled by 8:30 p.m. on 7/2.
6/30	Pingree	1400 West Bingham Assist #2	8	human	Fire was reported at 4 pm and is burning on private property in grass and brush. Firefighters and 5 heavy engines responded and had the fire contained and controlled by 6:30 p.m. on 6/30.
6/27	Shelley	Horsebend Bingham Assist #1	11.7	power line	Located west of Interstate 15 below Hell’s Half Acre. Threat to BLM lands. Local fire department knocked it down. Wildland engines completed line and mopped up incident. Contained and controlled on 6/27.
6/17	Pocatello	Plantation	0.1	human	Fire was a burning stump with an engine responding. Fire is contained and controlled on 6/17.
5/16	Soda Springs	RX Burn	100	RX	Crews will be burning 100 acres in the Soda Springs Idaho Ranch Canyon to promote aspen regeneration.

4/13	Fort Hall	Swanson Loop	280	human	Fire was reported around 4 p.m. 3 Heavy engines and 15 firefighters are working the fire that is approximately 10 miles northwest of Chubbuck.
