She is a scientist from the Southwest Fisheries Science Center in LaJolla, and will be working with us on a range of projects: causes of distribution and abundance of harbor porpoise, gill net fishing by-catch of harbor porpoise and Common Murre, and distribution maps of sea otters in offshore regions. We're looking forward to see Karin around our office for at least a year. National Research Coordinators meeting (Andrew De Vogelaere) NMS Research Coordinators met in Monterey on October 7 and 8. This is the first national meeting. New Intern (Andrew De Vogelaere) Welcome to our new research intern, Jason Giffen. He is from the Monterey Institute for International Studies.
