The Monitoring of Porpoise Stocks Data Files contain sightings and related sighting effort on marine mammals in the Eastern Tropical Pacific. Data are specifically targeted at sightings of porpoise (dolphins), although sightings of other marine mammals are also included. Data are used in a line transect type analyses to determine the status of those porpoise stocks that are incidentally killed during purse seining operations. Geographic Coverage
