Lab co-sponsors community clean-up day

A volunteer unloads a discarded car battery during a community clean-up day in the village of Truchas last weekend. The Laboratory, through its Community Programs Office, co-sponsored the event as part of the Laboratory's community commitment and outreach efforts. Rio Arriba County, New Mexico Clean and Beautiful, the Truchas Land Grant Board of Directors and other organizations and businesses also sponsored the clean-up event. Nine 40-cubic-yard bins of waste were collected for proper disposal.
