Abstract

A brief description of three Russian simulation codes, integrated together for simulation of power plant fuel elements behaviour under loose coolant accident (LOCA) and RIA accidents, is presented. Simulation code PULSAR-2 is intended for simulation of fuel behaviour before accidents and created the initial dates for subsequent codes. Code PULSAR+ is intended for fuel elements behaviour simulation under accident conditions. This code simulated the cladding stress and strain, fuel and cladding destruction. Coolant behaviour is simulated with the help of hydraulic code STALACTITE.
