South Fork Flathead Watershed/Westslope Cutthroat Trout Conservation Project

• PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

  
  The project proposes to remove exotic trout species from selected lakes in the South Fork of the Flathead drainage and replace them with genetically pure westslope cutthroat trout.
  
  

• CURRENT STATUS:

  
  The period for public comment on the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) closed August 20, 2004. The final EIS was released to the public on July 25, 2005
