FDA:
I would like comment on the proposed new rules on genetically engineered (GE) food. I believe that you are ignoring the publics safety in regards to these products. I think that the FDA should require mandatory pre-market safety testing and labeling of genetically engineered products. You cannot assume that these GE products are safe and then wait until someone has serious consequences to their health. By not testing and labeling you are failing to protect our health, our environment, and our right to know.
