Another Day in Infamy
The word came out. Seconds later all eyes in the hangar and the nation watched in horror of the events that happened and that followed

After the third day I couldn't wait. I told the chief and my supervisor I was heading up and got my gear and headed north.

The drive was eerie with silence. Then after showing identification numerous times I saw the sight coming over an overpass towards the Holland tunnel. I pulled over due to the indescribable flood of emotions at that time. With a prayer for the lost souls, I ventured on.

After getting to one of the staging areas north of what was the north tower I could and cannot describe how enormous this tragedy is. Yes, this is war. Only war can be this ugly. But don't forget, we are Americans, one nation "under God.” And we will prevail.
