The files on this disk are word processing files used to publish the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (1996). The files are in Word Perfect 5.0 format, however, they have been compressed to save disk space. (See the explanation below.) For ease of transport on 3.5" 1.44 meg. disks, the full set of files is contained in two compressed files. The Word Perfect files have been compressed using LHA. LHA is a distributed as a free program with copyright reserved. There is no restriction on use within private corporations or governmental agencies. The resulting compressed files are "self-extracting" executable files. Executing any of the files on this disk will result in a decompressed, Word Perfect file being created. The decompressed files will be written to your current drive and subdirectory when you execute the files on this disk. Printer Driver Note: Included in these files is a Printer Driver for Word Perfect 5.0. It is named HP-HTSA.PRS and it should work with any laser printer which is HP Laserjet compatible. It requires the installation of an HP "J" cartridge which supplies the Prestige Elite, 7 point, 16.66 pitch font used in printing. Instructions in the .PRS file modify the pitch to 17.56 and reduce the leading between lines to enable a text which is up to 132 characters across the page and over 90 lines down. The forms on which the camera copy pages are produced were create using Lasersoft software from Business Systems International and downloaded to the laser printer as macros. These macros are invoked during printing by commands which are embedded in the text. We are not able to supply the software and other files necessary for reproducing the text on these forms.
