Boston FBI Involved in Operation Cross Country


Boston, MA...Fourteen individuals were arrested in the Boston area over a three day period during a law enforcement operation known as Operation Cross Country. In a five day national enforcement action, the FBI was joined by law enforcement partners which included takedown operations in 16 cities across the country and led to the recovery of 21children.

Today, the FBI, the Department of Justice, and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children joined together to mark the five year anniversary of the "Innocence Lost" initiative and announce recent enforcement actions taken against criminals engaged in the domestic trafficking of children for prostitution. To date, "Innocence Lost" investigations have led to the conviction of 308 individuals on a combination of state and federal charges. More importantly, these efforts have led to the recovery of 433 child victims.

The following were arrested on June 19, 2008 in Braintree, MA:
1) Carmen A. Andrews, age 25, of Boston, MA
2) Jennifer Canessa, age 21, of Revere, MA
3) Latoya Thomas-Dickson, age 19, of Worcester, MA
4) Jessica Dyer, age 19, of Vassalboro, ME
5) Shannalee Kadian Whitely, age 24, of Dorchester, MA
6) Mingli Liu, age 44, of Brooklyn, NY
7) Joseph Williams, age 32, of Dorchester, MA
8) Xiu Guang Zhang, age 44, of Boston, MA

The following were arrested on June 20, 2008 in Boston, MA
9) Mattie Buford, age 48, of Dorchester, MA
10) Kaare Arnold Daniel, age 27, of San Jose, CA
11) Corrinne Faye McInnes, age 26, of Weymouth, MA
12) Jennilee Ramirez, age 25, of San Jose, CA
13) Alfredo Jorge Lambert-Pinnock, age 31, of Sterling Height, MI

Arrested on June 21, 2008 in Boston, MA:
14) Jennifer Anne Leason, age 26, of Medford, MA

The FBI would like to thank our partners who participated in Operation Cross County and ongoing enforcement efforts specifically, the Massachusetts State Police, Boston Police Department, Braintree Police Department, Quincy Police Department, Norfolk Country Sheriff Department, and Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council.

All of the charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
