The modis_update_luts.csh script is incorrectly informing me that my TERRA LUTs are up-todate (AQUA are fine).
For example, my local LUT is:
MOD02_Emissive_LUTs.V5.0.6.9.hdf
and the LUT available from the FTP site is:
MOD02_Emissive_LUTs.V5.0.6.12.hdf

The problem appears to be at line 203 where "sort" is used to determine the newest LUT out of the two files.
In an alphabetical sort, my local file is determined to be newer.  I've encountered this same issue myself dealing with LUT files in the past
