=========================================================================== ================================================================================ MPCRL Policy and User Responsibility Acknowledgment: Mission: The mission of the DOE's Massively Parallel Computing Research Laboratory at Sandia National Laboratories (MPCRL) is to provide national leadership in high- performance computing on advanced-architecture, large-scale parallel supercomputers for DOE, DOD and US industry by focusing on solutions of large- scale, complex, interdisciplinary applications of national importance; by having a staff of world-class researchers; and by forming strategic partnerships with other high-performance computing centers. Usage Policy: The MPCRL provides access to its computing resources on the basis of proposed work which is deemed to be consistent with our mission and suitable for the unique resources which we provide. By signing this request, the requestor agrees to use MPCRL resources only for the purposes described in the approved account application and proposal. All accounts are subject to audit by SNL personel. Improper use of MPCRL computing resources may result in disciplinary or legal action. Password Policy: Each user must have his/her own login and password. Your user login and password establish your personal identification and your ability to use the MPCRL resources. You must not permit another person to use your password. If you believe your password has been compromised you should change it immediately. Storing your MPCRL password on-line on any computer or terminal is prohibited and passwords may not be shared for purposes of file access. Violation of this policy will result in the loss of your MPCRL account. MPCRL Acknowledgment: Users will acknowledge MPCRL support in resulting publications with a statement such as: "This research was performed in part using parallel computing resources located at Sandia National Laboratories." The MPCRL requests that a copy of the resulting publication be sent electronically or by hardcopy to: The MPCRL Account Committee, Sandia National Laboratories, P.O. Box 5800, Mail Stop 1111, Albuquerque, NM 87185-1111 Failure to acknowledge the support of Sandia National Laboratories may result in the loss of your MPCRL account as well as other appropriate actions. MPCRL Technical Summary (Required for all account renewals): The MPCRL requires that all principal investigators furnish a one-page, standard-format, technical research summary as a prerequisite for consideration of an account renewal. This summary must include a clear statement of the research objectives, technical approach, a description of accomplishments, the significance of the work, future plans, and a list of publications. All submissions must be in the standard technical summary format. This LaTeX or FrameMaker format can be obtained by sending an e-mail request to proposal@cs.sandia.gov. Sandia reserves the right to use the supplied information with appropriate acknowledgements in compiling publications which summarize current research which was supported with grants of computer resources from the MPCRL or Sandia National Laboratories. ================================================================================
