  We acknowledge that a lot of hard work goes into creating a paper of this quality, and
  not all of this work is our own.  Specifically we would like to thank the graduate students

  suggested the idea, carried out the research, and wrote up the paper.  Without them, our
  supervision would have been meaningless.  We would also like to thank J. Smith for
  letting us run his computer code, even though it still had bugs.  Also we would like
