            Multigrid Solvers for Elliptic Problems
            and their Singular Pertubations

You are invited to attend the February 24th NAS New Technology Seminar
in Building 258, Room 127 at 10:30am. Peter Vanek from UCLA will give an
overview of the smoothed aggregation iterative methods with an emphasis
on algorithms and the underlying mathematical principles. He will also
present the new convergence bounds for a method which allows more usual
coarsening by a factor of two in each spacial direction. A
generalization suitable for treating the convection-diffusion problem
will be discussed and a demonstration of the method on industrial
problems on unstructured meshes will be given.
