Dates: August 10, August 11, and August 14, 2000, at 3:30 p.m. Three chapters on elliptic functions will be included in the DLMF: Theta Functions; Jacobian Elliptic Functions; Weierstrass Elliptic Functions and elliptic Modular Functions. The ways in which elliptic functions have been defined will be compared, and the advantages of each will be elucidated. The speaker is author of recent monograph on elleiptic functions.
