Comments or interesting anecdotes about the event:
Clear, good seeing, 48 degF. Loosely organized event, but enthusiastic attendance. Showed off a three day old moon with my 11" Celestron CPC. Discussed light-gathering differences between the eye and a telescopes mirror, distances and apparent brightness, color and temperature. Targets included M82, Betelgeuse, M42 and the moon. Lots of oohs and Aahs.
