RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Instrument Scientist on Cassini/CIRS infrared spectrometer. Co-PI on LEISA wedged filter spectral imagers on EO-1 (Atmospheric Corrector) and Lewis. Co-PI on SKIRT/CVF infrared shuttle glow experiment, a CVF spectrometer which flew on STS-39 and STS-62. PI on ground-based infrared planetary astronomy program. Experienced in the fields of infrared molecular spectroscopy, laser spectroscopy, remote sensing of atmospheres, infrared astronomy, optical instrumentation, and infrared spectroscopy from spacecraft. Developed instruments to observe infrared emission and absorption spectra in the sun, planets, stars, and the terrestrial atmosphere. Performed laboratory infrared spectroscopy of molecules. Background in cryogenic infrared arrays, FTIR, diode lasers and gas lasers.
