Pheasants Forever Awarded Federal TSP Contract in Idaho

Pheasants Forever was awarded a Technical Service Provider contract by the Idaho Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Under the contract, Pheasants Forever will help interested landowners apply for programs, formulate conservation plans, and ensure the use of proper conservation practices to meet Federal standards. Additionally, Pheasants Forever will promote Federal conservation programs and generate landowner interest.

"This is a tremendous opportunity for Pheasants Forever to make a positive impact for the soil, water, and wildlife of eastern Idaho," said Howard Vincent, Pheasants Forever Chief Executive Officer. "We are thrilled to be selected by the NRCS and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship in Idaho. This is just another step forward in strengthening the working relationship we have with the NRCS."

In January, Pheasants Forever and the NRCS signed a memorandum of understanding that established a partnership to deliver Farm Bill conservation programs across the country.

"This contract is a great example of how the Technical Service Provider program should work," said Richard Sims, Idaho NRCS state conservationist. "In Pheasants Forever, we have made what we consider to be the perfect match. Pheasants Forever has proven expertise in the planning and design of plans and conservation practices that will benefit wildlife, which is one of the primary goals of the Conservation Reserve Program."
